"Facts & Tips for using Paprika"

Paprika is more than just the spice to add flavour to your favourite poultry dish. Paprika is a spice packed full of health and beautifying benefits too. The spice contains antioxidants and essential vitamins and minerals needed by the body so it can stay healthy. I personally love to use the spice as often as I can because it helps keep inflammation done in my body and it helps prevent the spider veins in my legs from getting worse, but the benefits go way beyond the ones I just mentioned.

What exactly is Paprika?

Paprika is a spice that actually comes from red bell and chili peppers, but without the heat. The herb is mainly used because of its savoury mellow flavour that blends well with other spices to create well-balanced flavour in all kinds of cuisine dishes.

Paprika also adds colour, sweetness and slight warm to dishes as well. Make sure to buy original Hungarian paprika spice so you know you are getting true paprika with all its potent nutrients.

Health Benefits of Paprika

The health benefits of paprika are endless. The spice contains antibacterial, antioxidant, and detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, pain relieving and energizing medicinal properties. The nutrients in paprika that give this spice the medicinal properties it has are vitamins C, K, E, A and B complex, minerals such as calcium, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and iron, and small amounts of fibre, natural sugar, carbohydrates for energy, protein, healthy fats, ash and phytosterols.

People who suffer from autoimmune and inflammatory diseases can benefit from adding paprika to their daily diet because of the anti-inflammatory properties it contains that reduces swelling. The spice can help relieve arthritis and other aches and pains in the body as well too. I find the herb useful for preventing asthma attacks and treating headaches as well.

It is especially good to use in chicken noodle soups to help fight a nasty cold or flu away because of the antibacterial properties it contains. I know because I use this spice in my chicken noodle soups all the time to treat my constant sniffles and it works. It also adds nice flavour and colour to the broth making it a bit heartier.

The herb is also useful for preventing and treating spider veins as well, because it contains properties in it that help strengthen the veins and blood within the body. Since I have been using the spice the spider veins in my legs have diminished a bit and it has prevented new ones from forming. However, I do have to use the spice daily in my dishes. I find the best dishes to use this spice in are stews, pork, and poultry and fish ones.

Beautifying Benefits of Paprika

Not only does the spice help keep the body healthy, but it also helps keep it beautiful too. In fact, due to all the vitamin C paprika contains it makes it a useful remedy for brightening, tightening and beautifying the skin too. The way I, use paprika to help keep my skin beautiful is by making a facial mask with it.

The way I make a facial mask with paprika is by combining a tablespoon of it with two tablespoons of honey. Honey is also nourishing and healing to the skin too. After the honey paprika mask is made, I apply it to my skin in a nice even layer and leave it on for twenty minutes. As the mask sits on the skin it helps treat and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, sagging and dullness. It evens out the complexion of the skin and treats blemishes and blackheads as well. Once the time is up, I rinse of the mask and pat my skin dry with a cotton towel. After the mask, my skin is soft, glowing and full of life and beauty again.

However, you can play around with this spice and other ingredients to create your own effective beauty recipe for beautifying your skin the way you desire too.

Bottom Line for Paprika

Paprika is more than just a spice for flavouring and adding colour to your food. The spice can add health and life to your body and your skin naturally too. It is definitely a spice worth using to keep you youthful and beautiful all the time.
